- Chase Sapphire cardholders get free Instacart+ memberships and statement credits.
- Eligible Chase cards offer $0 delivery fees on orders over $35.
- Monthly and quarterly credits make grocery shopping more affordable.
- Combine promotions and choose pickup to maximize savings.
If you’ve used Instacart before, you’ll probably know that it is expensive. Between the markups and fees, the costs can really start to add up.
That’s where Chase is here to save the day.
Chase Sapphire cardholders enjoy benefits like free delivery, free statement credit, and other perks that they can use to save money on Instacart.
I’ll show you what the perks are, how they work, and how you can claim your own today.
Chase Sapphire Instacart Benefit
Chase has partnered with Instacart to offer exclusive benefits to cardholders of select cards, including Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Preferred, and others.
These benefits include free Instacart+ memberships for up to 12 months, monthly or quarterly statement credits, and $0 delivery fees on orders over $35.

Additionally, all eligible cardholders benefit from $0 delivery fees on orders over $35, 5% credit back on eligible pickup orders and lower service fees on Instacart purchases.
This promotion is designed to provide added value and convenience, especially for those who frequently use grocery delivery services.
This is one of my favorite ways for existing Instacart users to save money on orders.
How Statement Credits Work
In addition to the benefits mentioned above, Chase cardholders are also granted monthly or quarterly credits that are good toward Instacart purchases.
The amount and frequency of these credits depend on the specific Chase card you hold:
- Sapphire Reserve and J.P. Morgan Reserve: Receive up to $15 in statement credits each month.
- Sapphire Preferred and Sapphire: Receive up to $15 in statement credits each quarter.
- Freedom series cards: Receive up to $10 in statement credits each quarter.
To receive these credits, simply use your eligible Chase card to make purchases on Instacart. The statement credit will be automatically applied to your account within 1-2 billing cycles after the purchase is posted.
This means you’ll see a reduction in your credit card bill by the amount of the credit, effectively reimbursing you for part of your Instacart spending.
How to Claim the Offer
Claiming the offer is easy and can be done in a few simple steps:
- Go to Instacart’s Chase Promotion Page.
- Select “Get Started” to create your account or log in.
- Add your Chase credit card.
- Select “Activate Now” to begin your Instacart+ membership.
Once you claim the promotion, you’ll receive the benefits mentioned above. However, it is worth noting to things:
- The Instacart+ membership will auto-renew at the end of the free period unless canceled.
- Statement credits are received on qualifying purchases within the specified periods.
It seems like Instacart is using this promotion to get users subscribed to the service by offering it as a benefit.
How to Maximize Benefits
There are easy ways to maximize this benefit beyond simply claiming the offer.
First, you can combine this promotion with other offers, which I highly encourage you doing.
When you first sign up with Instacart, also make sure to claim a new user promo code.
This is a free credit worth up to $30 that Instacart gives new users just for signing up.
Next, plan your meals strategically. I suggest comparing prices on the Instacart app with those in-store.
The platform usually marks up prices on the app, making them a lot more expensive for certain stores. Try to stick to ones that are cheaper rather than more expensive.
Also try pickup instead of delivery.
You’ll still save the time of not having to do the in-store shopping, but you won’t pay for the cost of having the order delivered to your door.
These savings alone can oftentimes be significant and save you a great deal of money in the process.
